Anyway to have a smoking flight in the U.S?
Without getting into too many details, does the U.S ban on smoking on flights within the U.S apply to only regularly scheduled airline operating under FAR 121 or does it include charter service as well?
If it applies to both types of flight, does it include foreign-based airlines when they are flying over U.S airspace? Thanks Andy |
My limited understanding, after listening carefully to many weasel-worded cabin announcments, is that the FAA requires you to obey company regulations, giving them the force and effect of law. The companies then forbid smoking.
I wonder how many air rage incidents this has caused. After an excellent landing you can use the airplane again! |
I read somewhere recently that there is a US Coast to Coast outfit that is "smokers only"
|
I read that somewhere too. There's also the all-nude airline!! (whatever next, USA, USA, USA!!!)
|
You would have to be on a charter flight that would allow smoking or the nudist flight that was recently in the news.

Thank-You
Many thanks to all of you for responding.
