Ice block falls in Scotland

Huge ice block falls from sky into family's garden - BBC News

Clearly it has melted a bit since impact, but must have been a far few kg to make that crater. Obvious source is an a/c but where would a block like that form?

Possibly a leaking potable water servicing port.

Or a sink drain or,...a bog ( but bog stuff usually blue/brown...!). :uhoh:

Yes but a block big enough to make that crater, must have collected somewhere and then detached in one piece. I can't think of any location on an a/c that could have happened. If it was behind an access door, which then opened perhaps. Possibly in a gear well and released on approach, but i dont think the location matches any approaches..
Strange no?
