Replacing paper charts with tablet's , EASA question

Hello,

We are private ops recently being placed under NCC regulations in Europe.
The only time i use Jeppesen Manual is the night before flight when revision is required, otherwise its is stored somewhere in the cockpit and used exclusively as a talisman against safa raids:}.
Is there a legal way in 2017 to replace paper charts with ipads in D- reg(Germany)? I mean we have 4 ipads and all with current jepp subscription.
I tried to read EASA EFB documents but its way too dry and legal without real practical field stuff.

Can't help with the specific requirements, but im working in a german company (scheduled operation) that hasn't used paper charts for more than 10 years. First we used windows based tablet PCs, and for the last three years we use iPads. All certified with the LBA and i guess therefore according to EASA rules, although the LBA does not have a good track record in complying with EASA regulations.

Nowadays the only paper we carry is the QRH and the Techlog, the rest is done electronically, either via the iPad or ACARS. The latter is used for the journey log. And even the QRH is on its way out.

Replacing Charts

Hi Raydispatch:

Yes, you can replace paper with electronic however there is a process for it.
Even though it makes dry reading, EASA AMC 20-25 contains the guidance material that is required. PM me if you wish. Its what I do.

We (G reg) have been on ipads for 18 months or so, as has our D reg sister company. Sadly no knowledge of the process required! Only paper on the flight deck is QRH, tech log and MEL.
