Cpl A credits for Cpl H.

Has anyone ever completed the CPL(A) and then decided to complete the CPL (H)? If so what was the procedure and the requirements for the issue of a CPL (H).

What are the credits that can be carried over from the fixed wing element?

A lot of questions I know but with the change over to EASA I'm finding it difficult to get a definitive answer.

When I did it the other way, under CAA rules, all the written exams counted, Nav, Radio Aids, Met etc. Had to do Theory of Flight paper, Performance and the type technical.

Thanks Parabellum,

When did you transfer across? Did you get any credits or dispensation for flying hours?

Not very helpful I fear, 1972! Did a military flying course, so that counted, as would a full course at 'An approved school of training', then had to do about 100hrs P1 fixed wing and all the GFTs.

I have done this in the last couple of years, the exams needed are mentioned in the previous post.

With regard to the flying you do indeed get a fifty hour reduction which includes 6 hours off your ppl course. This makes the PPL course a minimum of 39 hours. If you find a training organisation that is happy to get on with it and you get the PPL in minimums this leaves 66 hours of hour building before you can start the CPL course at 105 minimum. This is relevant if you are wanting to roll straight into an IR as you need a minimum of 70 hours P1 to do a multi engine type rating and 50 hours cross country for an IR.

Good Luck!
