length of the base turn

I have been trying to find some information on this.

When it comes to the length of the outbound leg in a base turn, generally that turning point is given by either a DME distance or a time check. However there are some charts where the length of the outbound leg is not given. There are a few examples of such thing.

In this case what would be the standard length of the outbound leg? Been checking the whole document 8168 document and maybe I missed something but could not find nothing.

Anybody there that could clarify that?

I recall that the timing for a 45/180 procedure turn is 1 minute for Cat A & B, or, 1 minute 15 secs for Cat C, D, or E. I'm now retired and not up to speed of where the definitive information can be found.

Manchester (EGCC) has such a procedure turn for the ILS/DME (MCT) RWY 24R.

thanks for the quick answer, you are right for a 45/180 turn procedure it is as you say 1 min for A and B and 1 min 15 sec for B,C and D.

However I was more specifically asking about a base turn similar to the VOR 16 in RJFF or the VOR 17 in RORS. There is only a note to commence the turn within a specific DME but not given any DME when tu initiate the turn.

The timings for the outbound legs of base turns in 8168 is very vague. The diagrams or depicted on illustration 1-4-3-1, clearly indicating different timings for different outbound relative bearings, but with no proper guidance for angles vs time vs a/c cat?!?
