FAA Parts Origin
Hi all, forgive me if this question has been asked before - did the usual searches.
Could anyone point me into the right direction as to where did the FAA parts system originate from? I notice it use in a number of other places in the world - including the OTAR's from Air Safety International - UK CAA international territories arm. Leads me to ask, is this a system from ICAO or somewhere else or did the yanks come up with it and others are imitating. ie - Part 61, licensing, part 91, 121, 135 etc all seem consistent. Cheers! |
Others are copying the FAR numbering, it seems.
