Czech discovery flight?!
 

Hi there everyone,

I know a young chap in the Czech Republic that I would like to get interested in aviation. Here in the antipodes you can buy a kid or a friend an intro flight for about $100-$300 AUD/NZD/USD. It's a simple 30-60 minute joy flight where they take you up and you get shown effects of controls and see how you like it. I had one when I was 11 as a gift and have been flying for 20 years!

I am hoping to be able to do the same for him, but I don't have the foggiest idea of where to begin looking.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a flight school or aeroclub about those parts? or is that even an option? :uhoh:

Not a direct response, but if all else fails I know that a lot of pilots from Slovakia (ie half of the old Czechoslavakia) have in the past been at the Australian Soaring Centre in Corowa at this time of year for our gliding season. Probably a potential source of knowledge, either of Czech Republic aviation, or perhaps your protege could go to Slovakia if he/she is near the border.
