UK FTL question
if you come off duty at 2230 local Friday and report 0400L Monday - does that constitute 2 days off??
|
These are the definitions, so let's put them together
Day Off A period free from all duties. A single day off shall include two local nights. Consecutive days off shall include a further local night for each additional consecutive day off. A rest period may be included as part of a day off. So you have had a local night (Local Night -A period of 8 hours falling between 2200 hours and 0800 hours local time.) from Friday night 2230 for 8 hours and on the Sat night throughout. That all adds up to one day off. Then on the Sunday night you need another 8 hour period between 2200 and 0800 to make it a day off. 2200 plus 8 takes you to 0600 on the monday morning. 0400 is too early to call it another day off. I stand to be corrected if anyone knows otherwise. |
I agree only one day off there chappy.

Never mind how many days off you're getting.
Legally the earliest you can check in after any day off is 0500Z/0600L. You cannot, therefore, legally check in at 0400L. |
