It`s an option like icing or turbulence indices.
Most decode sources eg Aerad (sorry now Thales ). GH |
LX,
Nope about France, it must be an ICAO thing as I have seen it here in South Africa before - also wondered what it meant. 4g |
Bloody cold. Our area forecasts in SW OZ dont see negative until 10000'.

The Tmin/Tmax field (e.g. TX01/18Z TNM01/03Z) has been part of the WMO FM51 TAF standard format since about August I think, and is used in a number of places, though not the UK

Really a good thing, because the temperature is quite relevant in many met issues, so why not put it in a TAF when you can hear it in all other weather forecasts ?

You can download a PDF file (2 pages only) from here to see the formats of TAF/METAR.
Page 2 is the TAF. http://www.dmi.dk/vejr/opmet/koder.pdf Edited for URL [ 02 January 2002: Message edited by: Icarus ]
|
