RYANAIR's new routes
Just seen Ryanair's new routes from London.
It says there will be 2 daily flights to Newquay !. .Is there that many people wanting to travel that short distance by air travelling each and every day ?? Good news for me as I am training for CPL though ! |
I suppose Newquay is the UKs answer to Benidorm!
To be fair to RYR, they'll be quicker, cheaper and dare I say safer, then the train. And I bet the road traffic down there is awful in the summer.. . I saw something about services starting in June, and I think they'll do pretty well out of all the Essex boys and London Villagers going off for the surf. |
Don't forget that it's the thick end of 270 miles from London to Newquay (more like 300 if you work from Stansted); I think the train jouney takes a minimum of five and a half hours, albeit a centre to centre time.
By comparison (and I know these are more heavily populated areas) Leeds, Manchester and Humberside are much closer to London and all have scheduled air services to the south. Good on Ryanair! [ 03 February 2002: Message edited by: 1261 ]</p> |
