British Midland Friends and Family?

Hi all, I have recently made a new friend who works for BM. I was told that if I ever wanted to fly with them to speak to her first as she can arrange a discount ticket under Friends and Family for me as often as I like? I am currently in Airline training and am halfway through my JAA ATPL's. The question is, does anyone know what sort of discount is available and can you use it on any class of seating or just economy. Also, is it a standby ticket or a normal ticket? (most important!)
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I understand they are going long haul very soon!
Thanks all.......

Friends and Family is a firm seat normally in economy. Virgin and BA have similar schemes. There are the usual no change restrictions and you can only travel on the specified flights. Essentialy the seats are what are known as either T,E or X class, the stuff the computer reckons would go empty otherwise. The peak services aren't usually available but off peak you could pick one up. Popular destinations with relatively few services will be difficult, if not impossible to get; if you don't mind travelling to galsgow on a wet Monday in January you should be OK :) You should also check www.qxl.com and www.expedia.co.uk for cheapies.

Prices are in two bands depending on destination. £69 and £89

Cheaper to use Easy or Go if you can book early enough and don't want LHR

Thanks for the reply! That has answered my question!
