Boeing 757 Simulator for PC
Anyone know of a worthwhile 757 simulator programme for the PC? Would very much appreciate any pointers from those that have flown the real thing as to whether any PC software is worth getting before conversion starts. Also are any of the Tech books in the pilot type mags woth purchasing? Thanks.

Not being flight-deck qualified I can't comment from a pilot's point of view, but the freeware panel for FS98 by Eric Ernst (an American Eagle S340 pilot) provides the most functionality in terms of realistic procedures for pre-flight, engine-start etc. of any 757/767 panel I've seen.
The file is difficult to track down though having disappeared from most sites since he started work on a commercial project "767-Pilot in Command" - I don't generally buy commercial packages since I think freeware ones are better so someone else will have to give details on what this is like! ------------------ You start off with an empty bag of experience and a full bag of luck. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck. |
Twin Jet - who are you converting to the 757 with?
I have just been given a start date for my 757 training in March - could we be on the same course? |
Hooded Claw. I'm starting in not too many weeks, a little before you. e-mail me if you wish, good luck anyway if you don't, but do you know of any PC sims? or if they are worthwhile. Sorry it's late but the pub just shut!
