B737 flight deck
 

I'm a trainee on the 737 fleet for a national airline in the subcontinent. A few days ago a Captain asked me to find three places in the cockpit with the Boeing logo. I have been looking everywhere but to no avail. (No, the logo on the FCOM's don't count)

The logo I'm not sure, but apparently the only place it is written is on the DV Window open/close lever. I guess that part isn't made by Boeing and the company that makes it just stamps it with Boeing and the serial.

How about the rudder pedals?

If that`s all he can bother you with, you must be doing great!

perhaps on the control column? not sure will have a little root around when flying tommorrow.

If you feel up to it you can ask him to find the letter J anywhere in the flight deck not counting the CDU!!

There are only 2 and they're a bugger to find. a hint have a close look at the handle to move the rudder peddles.

Don't help him and just watch him stare at all the bulbs with the light test on.

With that sort of question/training, I'm not surprised young lads can't fly straight & level (on autopilot?) when the skipper goes for a leak :ugh:

May be better training that one would think: It is one way to encourage someone to actually look at evertyhing in the cocpit rather than focus on just the interesting bits.

One the other hand there is a long tradition when it comes to trainees, the mechanic/tradesmen equivalent is the sending the eager newcomer to the store in search of the mythical "left handed monkey wrench". At least in the good old days each store owner was well aware of the practice and would senf the victim on to the next store.

I think it says it on the sun visors too. At the top in small lettering.

ive been asked the same question! and it seems its on the p1 window latch and the flight deck door key that hangs on the grab handle of the door! (gotta take a closer look at the rudder pedals too!)

You are surely jesting? And if you want to get your own back on the smart-arse captain you could always ask him to show you where to find information on the standby power source for the flight attendant call button on the flight deck.

As I can recall it is printed near the bottom on the Captains window, on the plastic also inside the spare bulb thing

If you open the hatch for the escape ropes you got Boeing written on a tag on the rope :)
