Age 60 still the limit?

Been out of the loop for a couple of years.Has there been any serious progress in changeing the regulations ref age limit for P1/Public Transport from 60 to 65? Any brief update would be appreciated.

65 pretty well everywhere I think, but still 60 in France for French licensed and, I think, US in USA, although that may have changed. Lots on PPrune about it.

65 in US now

65 in the USA, too, as of Dec 2007.

AFAIK, the only holdouts are Pakistan, France, and Colombia.
Some now are considering 68, individually.:ok:
70 cannot be far off.

Mercuary, is that where you have been then. Surely averybody involved in aviation has kept up with this, especialy if they are getting on in years! Anyway, most countries are now 65 for command of two crew public transport. Still 60 for single crew. Also only one member of the two crew may be over 60.

:DNow that is a lot of brass air fittings there is just about every type of air fitting that you could want. Wholesale prices too. I guess these could be used as small water pipe fitting also. I
used some of the parts to make my babington wvo burner.:D

Looks like age 70 is a real possibility in the U.S. There was no credible political opposition to age 65, it passed both houses of Congress unanimously. A few folks whined here and elsewhere but when it came down to it, they couldn't muster a single vote in opposition.

I'm told some FedEx ALPA pilots have already lobbied the new administration for increasing or eliminating the retirement age. Don't know if FE's will be grandfathered this time.

I'd like to retire someday, but after looking at my 201K...:(

Morocco is also still 60 for captains, lot of 60+ first officers are flying there now...
