This one perhaps?
Report No: 2/2001. Report on the accident to Cessna 404 Titan, G-ILGW, near Glasgow Airport on 3 September 1999 Report name: 2/2001 Cessna 404 Titan, G-ILGW Registration: G-ILGW Type: Cessna 404 Titan Location: near Glasgow Airport Date of occurrence: 03 September 1999 Category: Public transport - Fixed Wing Download report: 2-2001 G-ILGW.pdf (7,161.07 kb) About eight years after your query, but nevertheless a nasty one indeed. This brought home to a lot of operators of GTSIO powered airplanes the absolute necessity of maintaining the engine properly...especially the starter adapter/damper. If this is not the one, do a search on the AAIB website... Air Accidents Investigation: Publications |
