significant wx chart

Hey..

I know this questions belongs into another forum, but the training forum looks like not being visited a lot..

So I just would like to know if there is any website explaining in very details a significant wx chart with all what may be presented in it. (donīt ask me for my ATPL stuff)..

thanks

Met Office Secure website - need a log-in though but you can get 214's 215's and a text version of the SIGWX charts

PKB's link is slightly out of date.

Surface fronts are no longer shown on the Civil Medium and High Level WAFC charts, and the ITCZ (not mentioned in the link) has not been indicated for probably about a year now.

Jetstream nomenclature for the depth of the >=80KT winds is no longer given as, say, '+080/-070' format (hundreds of feet above and below jet core height, let's call it FL320), but directly as FLs, i.e. 250/400.

Cheers,
