Dornier 328 training
Just wondering; are Dornier 328 turboprops and 328 Jets cross-crew qualified or is there a common type-rating?
|
Hi Korvo,
The 328 jet and prop type ratings are 2 separate ratings in that if you do a jet rating, it doesn't allow you to fly the prop as well, and vice versa. If you do a prop rating first, you then only (supposedly!!) have to do a differences course for the jet. If you do the jet course first, you still have to do the full prop course, should you/your employer decide to dual rate you. Reasoning behind this is that the prop is more difficult to fly than the jet. However, I'm not sure who offers a recognised/approved differences course from people moving from the prop to the jet.....Cirrus?? CAE?? That's about all I can tell you...Hope that helps.:) |
