Age limit for pilots in Nigeria.

Does anyone know what the age limit for Captains in RPT operations in Nigeria ? There's been so many changes worldwide in recent times, some have 60, others 63 or 65. What's the latest in that part of Africa. Anyone know ?

NCARs currently state 60 years for acting as pilot in command of a public transport flight. However, the last update was published just 1 month before ICAO increased their recommended age to 65. There is currently a committee looking into it and in the meantime some companies have been granted dispensations to age 65 by the NCAA.

All wet leased in aircraft from outside companies are allowed age 65 as a matter of standard course. provided the country of registration has approved 65 as the maximum age.

Official word from an NCAA inspector.
