Ryanair share options..........

Good afternoon folks, i need a little advice if possible.....

I have two allocations of FR shares which are in their exercise time period,i would like to know how they work, do i have to buy the shares at the price shown on my form,???? or do i already own them,??? and if so can i now sell them for a little windfall and a shiny HD tele.?????

Any help, advice or pointers would be very warmly received.

You have the right, but not the obligation, to exercise the contract (the option) on a future date (the exercise date or expiry).

I am not sure how your particular scheme works but in general terms you already "own" the shares. You were unable to sell them (exercise your option) until now due to the rules in the share scheme. Depending on what strike price they were given to you at are you are either going to be in or out of the money. Compare the price in the paperwork you have with the current trading price.

Generally most companies have someone inhouse that takes queries from employees or failing that there might be a number for you to call - possibly Ryanairs brokers for example to go through the details of how you exercise your option.
