BA nose cones
Can anyone explain why some of the BA 737 and 757 fleets have black chin straps (like this) on the nose cones?

As far as I know and have been lead to believe the black lines mean they have MLS fitted.

It's some sort of static bonding for the radome. The old MLS colour scheme has long since passed.

Just if you didnt know Mls stands for "Microwave landing system" ::cool:

Thanks for your replies guys.
CM, seems a strange form of static bonding to me. Any idea how that would work  |
