Blue Spruce Route
 
I'm going to ferry an a/c across the Atlantic on the Blue Spruce Route, its been a while (13 years) since I've last flown it. I could use some tips.

Fly high. Make sure your VHF works well!

Its a very North Atlantic VHF/VOR/NDB only route. The longest leg over water is about 300 mn. In WWII it was a very popular shuttle route for military a/c to travel to Europe. The only hazards were severe cold, crappy WX, poor NAVIDs and lousy comm. Asside from that, it was the safest way to get there.....Regards...Paul

I´ve used two years ago, but at 37000'. Everything worked just fine take care with the weather and vhf is available with most alternates.
The landscape is beautiful so the best advice is take a good camera.

What a/c type do you intend to ferry? (MNPS cert?, RVSM approved? H/F equipped?). Also, where from/to?
