B767-300 pitch attitude on final approach

Dear Sirs!

First of all hello to you all, as I´m new in this forum.

My question:

Could anyone provide me with some "pitch / power / speed" information for the B767-300, especially on final approach with FLAPS 30 / no wind / no turbulence / vref+5 / average landing weight of 130tons?

I´ve got various informations regarding this topic, starting from 0° up to 4° Nose up on final!

Thanx for your help in advance!

Best regards

Thorsten

I find 2.5 with 62% n1 works all the way down the final approach as you configure flap, with the correct speed for the flap setting.

The trick is to stop the barrel numbers on the ISA from moving, don't watch the pointers.

N1 works even when you have EPR indications too.

3 degree final approach, gear down, vref + 5 gives you an attitude of 1 degree nose up and 1.18 EPR on a 120,000kg Gross Weight RR-powered 767-300

Compare that with 2 degrees nose up and 1.16 EPR on an 80,000kg 757-200 with rollers.

Good info at www.767.org.uk, check out "Operating Procedures" then "Approach".

look in you operations manual for "flight with unreliable airspeed". This will give you all the pitch and power settings for all phases of flight.
