Crews @FedEx - Info needed

Hello Guys & Girls,

I am presently doing a studies for an Aircrash Investigation - Lecture @my university.

Due to our lecturer, somebody from the german BFU (kind of the german NTSB), the freighter-ops is one of the most dangererous areas of operations due to several factor, the first is Human failure (= Pilot error)

FedEx is pretty remarkable in this case, within the last 8 years they lost 4 MD-10/MD-11s and maybe 2 B727 (No exact Info if the Acft have been W/O)

Can anybody tell me more about the FedEx-Hiring, Requirements for Pilots and their Operations...?
Maybe I can figure out a certain "Pattern" about all 4 Accidents I know.

Thanx for any answer
Phil

Fed Ex pilot requierments are just as high as any major US airline.
Most likely all the pilots come in with atleast 2,200 hours and ATP. Wasnt one of the crashes due to a highjacked plane for Fed Ex? Or did that plane do fine?

Actually its:

DC10 Stewartfield NJ-inflight cargo fire, burn't out after landing.
MD11 Subic bay, overran into bay.
MD11 Newark NJ, Landing accident, over-turned
B727, Tallahasse, Florida, Crashed short on approach
MD10, Memphis, TN. Landing Accident

They're the hull lossess

The hijacked DC10 (Memphis 1995 N307FE) was recovered by the crew and is still in service today, as was the DC10 in Stewartfield by the way, although it subsequently burned out on the runway after evacuation.
