It was expecting it to be more similar to the current airbus flight deck than seems to have turned out. Check out the (touch screen?) overhead panel.

What do y'all think then?

I'm told those strange grey lumps at either side of the throttles are trackpads to control some sort of cursor on the lower screens

What the heck are those hand sized domes on either side of the throttles??

Most likely, they are track-ball housings. Rather than a mouse, you have a ball by which you move the cursor around the screen. If you've ever seen video of the inside of a P3 or E3, then that's what the crew are using to flick the cursor around their screens. In those aircraft they're mounted in a horizontal desk but here, they'd be below - hence mounting them proud would probably be the same ergonomically.

I’ve just seen another, more recent, photo of what looks like the final design.

It includes the standby instruments in that empty space to the right of the captains ND. That strange glass overhead panel is gone and replaced with more conventional version.

They’ve also added the Airbus equivalent of Jeppesen’s electronic flight bag, which brings the total number of large LCD panels to 10!

The lumpy bits are palm rests while your fingers do the walking around the keypad.

If I was an FO on that thing you couldn't pay me to touch that tiller on the ground.

Taildragger67 I think you're right - it's similar to the one on the Falcon 900 EX Easy... Quite handy, but one wonders what's next...

The Cursor Control Devices look similar to those currently fitted to the EMB170. Used to move select and scroll the cursor around the screens.

Nothing really radical to my eye bur it is still a long way off.
