Any websites as good as PPRuNe for other countries?

Does anyone know of a pilots' website for North America comparable to PPRuNe? I'd like to post my aurora survey there. Or for, say, Scandinavia or Russia? English-language would be preferable, of course; can be civilian or military as long as open to the public.

The only drawback of PPRuNe is that it's UK-oriented, so the percentage of pilots from other countries who are members may be relatively low.

I've searched on Google and the best I've been able to find is, for the USA, USaviation.com, but its traffic appears to be only a fraction of PPRuNe's.

I think you will find it difficult to hit a site as big as pprune with its 60-70k members. A year ago or so, on the Nordic forum, some Scandinavian members decided they did not like the way the forum had taken, and left. Many of them landed on www.cockpitforum.com, an international aviation website with a strong Scandinavian flavour.

I have only recently found: www.jfktower.com which says it has about 730 members. Offers live atc from 5-6 sources. Lots of posts -- and video -- re Concorde right now. It's not as lively as pprune, but is definitely worth your checking out.

Hi,

Perhaps you might like to take a look at http://www.limaeco.net/forum/ Mainly an ATC wannabes related forum which occasionally deals with other aspects of aviation. Mind you, it's fully in Spanish.

Cheers.;)

Notso Fantastic,

Sorry it took so long to come back with an answer. As far as I can remember; the way pprune censors/moderates/polices posts went head on with the Nordic mentality of free spirit and speech. And as I said, many landed on www.cockpitforum.com.
