B737-800 VNAV question
Hi guys! I desperately need your help about this VNAV thing.
I have 2 questions about VNAV. My first question would be if i maintain altitude (lets say 3000 ft) and ATC cleared me to climb to FL120, when i change MCP altitude to FL 120, the airplane wont initiate climb, why is that??. How can you climb still in VNAV (no LVL CHG or V/S) mode without engaging the ALT INTV???
My 2nd question is can you command the airplane to climb without the use of MCP? (Using CDU only)?
