Question about bleed fault in A320

Recently I experienced a bleed fault in A320 simulator training.No1 bleed fault at open, you have to comply the OEB,it requires you to set No1 bleed OFF and the Xbleed open.after that, due to No1 bleed is fault at open and can't be switched off,it will cause NO2 bleed fault.so i have to set the Xbleed valve closed manually.then everything becomes normal.I don't quite understand the correct way to fix the problem.could anyone help me to figure it out?
