Just wondering if anyone knows when Bristish Airways got rid of their last L1011.

can't be sure, but I would hazard a guess at just after Gulf War 1 - about 1992.

I'm sure someone will post the definitive answer soon!

Info can be found here just click on each regristration to view where aircraft was transferred and date deregistered.

UL dry leased two from 1992, for two years until Airboos acft (A340) first appeared in their fleet...BA had retired the last TriStar six months before, IIRC.
These were fine acft, very reliable, and had a long time between 'C' checks...4200 hours, with no calendar limit.
Very cost effective.

From that link ... it looks like one was de-registered in '96? Would that be right?

Another source to cross check against using serial numbers

From here it looks as if the frame in question was owned by BA but stored in the Mojave desert until sold onto First Security Bank of Utah in Dec 96 and at that time it was deregistered.
