loran C part of atpl test?
 
hi,

does anybody know, if loran C will be tested on the caa atpl test?

any hints greatly appreciated?

I remember it being covered briefly, but very rarely comes up in the exams.........

I seem to remember there is 1 question about it in the exams.

What principle does it work on.

and it gives you a list of 4.

And hyperbollux or something like that is the answer

on the german atpl loran c is a huge part and wastes a good week of studying.

There are a few questions, especially about coverage (patchy!) and principle of op- Differential Range by Pulse Technique!

Chuffer Chadley is right there's a question about where LORAN C is available. The answer is In designated areas and there's also one on frequencies used 90 - 110 KHz.

Tatally agree with the above post - the two questions above are the only questions we have from the feedback here are OAT. You must know all about the GNNS/GPS as they ask about 8-12 questions on this alone! Good luck!
