ATR Type Ratting??

Does anyone know where a ATR type rating can be obtained and if so how much is the cost?

How many hours do you have? Unless you have a confirmed job offer once you have done an ATR type rating my advice would be to spend the cash on an instructor rating or multi hours instead.

If you only have minimal hours a rating will make little difference in the current market place, especially if it is a 'zero' hour type rating, i.e. no experience on the type.

Most employers will go for someone like a flying instructor with somewhere near 1000hrs TT and 100hrs m/e.

Hedge your bets. If you spend on the type rating which is only going to be relevant to a few employers what will you do if you then don't get an ATR job?

Good luck anyway.

Chippy Fryer send their inmates to Toulouse I hear for ATR conversions.

Yep. Toulouse seems to be the place. A bunch of Aer Arann folks just came back from 4 weeks ATR type rating training out there.
