Results??????

I know this is a "how long's a piece of sting" question, but I'm still going to ask it! When are this months results out??!!!

RowleyUK 17th March 2003 10:54

Good question................and does the appeal on the systems exam mean we are goin to have to wait even longer???

Alex Whittingham 17th March 2003 13:16

The results usually take two weeks to come so expect them on the 21st. The appeals process runs like this every month, this is the reason why you don't get your results within a couple of days. Its hard to have to wait but there's nothing you can do about it now, go and lie in the sun!

Alex Whittingham 19th March 2003 08:38

The results started arriving this morning (Wednesday)

Mine were a little disappointing:

PoF: 71%
AFS:71%
Perf: 67%
Met: 57%

FLT PLN: 76%
Gen Nav: 75%
Inst: 76%

I've managed to get 10 out of the 14 so far. But only have 1 (yes ONE) sitting left with these 4 exams above that I've failed again. This is the 3rd time I've managed to get between a 70-74% for Pof and AGK. Hmmmmm......dunno where I'm going wrong, really don't. Looks like that 'Credited' question, never really made the world of difference to me then. I've got until November this year to take these 4, so think I'm just going to beat these subjects until....well....just beat them. It is possible right?

RowleyUK 19th March 2003 12:41

Hey BritishGuy........dont panic!!

My systems was my 3rd attempt!! You'll get there!!

Heres a few Tips on how to pass the 4 you need:

PofF.....Revise the notoriously accurate 400 feedback q's from oxford!! These will almost certainly guarantee you a pass!!They got me through and nearly everyone i know too!

Perf..... Do the Oxford Brush Up with a chap called Chris Perry..His feedback is pretty good too.....you need to understand perf to pass it!!

Met......Speak to Pete Lines from ATA in Coventry....He will get you through this exam no problem......The Phrase 'a picture is better than a thousand words' is 100% accurate when it comes to met!!!

AGK......Do the Oxford brush up.....get the oxford feedback.....pray you get an easy exam!!try your hardest to understand the subject!

I know exactly how bad it feels to stress about these exams........at some point you have to step back and ask yourself wether an ATPL is really worth all the stress....

Luke Wingwalker 19th March 2003 12:43

British Guy - for MET, try an intensive MET day run by Steve Francis at Oxford. He is excellent and has a great way of making it all simple and easy to remember. I hated the subject when I first started it, but looking back it turned into the most interesting one for me - and I passed it first time.

Father Mulcahy 20th March 2003 18:02

Hmm... two days after folk started getting their results and I've still not got mine !!!

BGS says not to worry as it can take up to three days for everyone to get theirs %^$!

Looks like I picked the wrong week to give up amphetamines...
