JAR ATPL application form

Having finally unfrozen the ATPL, I've been filling in the above form.

For the night flying section it has, among others, one entry for number of solo take-offs, and another for number of solo landings.

Are they expecting 2 different numbers?

Mmmmm..that's tricky one. I wonder if it's becuase you might not always be the handling pilot for take-off and landing. Or perhaps you might take-off before dark and land after it becomes officially night.

It says solo, so implying to me I'm the only pilot on board, but I grant you the take-off in day: land at night scenario.
