MULTI-HOURS FOR INSTRUCTING???
Hi
Can anyone tell me if you can instruct or do glider pulling or sky diving flying to get multi hours? i know you can do on a single engined aircraft but can it be done on a 2 engined aircraft? cheers very much Dave |
Hi Dave,
I did about 450hrs glider towing and have yet to hear of a twin being used, besides it sounds a little excessive. With regards to the parachuting, that's a maybe, though I think that instructing is probably the route with the greatest possibilities. I’d have thought that you'd probably need to do some SE instructing before being allowed to do any ME - only a guess, I'm not an instructor. regards, h_k |
Liquidhockey i've never seen or heard of glider towing with multi engine aircraft, but i know you can do parachute dropping with twins.

Most Skydiving clubs use at least a Cessna 206 and some have an Islander. The bigger ones like the club I'm with leases a Turbolet 410 from the Czech republic. I would start out on the C206 initially to get more flight experience then you will get opportunities for the twin. I've been told that I may get checked out in the 410 in the future pending a few regulations etc. So you see, once the foot is in the door, you will find other opportunites.
