Frozen ATPL Training and a Full-Time Job !

This is a subject I`m hoping for a positive response.
I intend to keep working in my full time job whick luckily pays nicely for my training.
I realise I`m going to be tired but the money must come from somewhere.
Is anyone else in this position and what are your thoughts ?

YanYan,

I'm currently doing exactly this. It can be done as long as you are highly motivated. I am however fortunate that I don't have any kids and a supportive girlfriend.

The difficult thing for me now that i've committed myself to a commercial flying career is to keep enough enthusiasm up for the day job!

Regards,

STurns

I've been doing this for the last 1.5 years. I'm just waiting for my final set of ATPL results and working out my notice at work, before going full time.

I can't wait. I'm incredibly excited and !!!!! scared at the same time.

DON'T EVER GIVE UP!

Married,Kids and work shifts, but do get days off in the week,so its quiet enough to study.

GET THE BLOODY NOSE DOWN!

I held down two jobs while studying, and flying, for three years. Started Jan 1998 got the CPL/IR Jan 2001.

It's very tiring, it's hard work and to get the IR (approved upgrade) O had to take three months unpaid leave.

If I could I would have done it full time, but in my case I needed the cash and an option to get out if it all went wrong. It can be done!!
