JAR ATPL to Australian licence?

Has anyone converted a JAR ATPL to Australian licence with success and got a job out there at the end of it? How many hours did you have when you changed? Can you hold both licences at once?

Cheers.

I am going the other way...
Check out the www.casa.gov.au website. (sorry I haven't done the ubb code thing - had something to drink ;)
Be careful with the P1 u/s time, I don't think CASA recognises that. However, talk to them, they should know.
You will find the job situation slightly different to the UK. Your first job is usually on a C206 or something. However, the flying is great. :D

you will be scratchin to find a job out here unless you have a squillion hours.
the best place to go is usually Darwin during the Wet season - December on..at the moment there are a lot of pilots up there working in check outs if you get my drift.
C206 is correctly the first gig you'll get. make sure you have atleast 350+ hours for those gigs. they also dont like reumes sent. must be there ready to go.
cheers
