Pre - ATPL study

Hi all - my distance learning ATPL books from OATS have just arrived. The problem is that they are sitting in my house and I am currently away from home, so I'm missing out on valuable study time for the next couple of weeks.
Could anybody suggest any subject areas I could start reading into, to give me a bit of a 'heads-up' before I get going on the real thing? I already have my PPL so was going to re-read the Trevor Thom books, but if there is anything more technical on the web etc. I could look at, it might be more relevant.

Or, I could just sit in the sun with a cold beer and relax before the work starts ;)

G'day TT,
One thing you could do is to go through the Trevor Thom book you have and make sure that you have a crystal clear understanding of all of the basics, which will give you a good and solid base to build on. Also too, think about finding topics in the TT book that will relate closely to what you will be studying at ATPL level, ie. principles of flight will be similar at the fundamental level to the ATPL, the ATPL will just be more in depth. If you have any sample questions from your PPL days, try sitting those until you are 100%. Sorry I can't give any advice on tackling the JAR silly-bus, I did all my ATPL's under the old system. One study tip: little but often is much better than overloading in long stints.

More than anything else, good luck with it!
Gearup.

Thanks - I will do just that, although I'll have a beer while I'm doing it! :)
