Anyone out a problem with MET! Read-on.
If you cant pass Met, get in-touch with John Standan. I had a weekend with him and passed. His method of teaching is unique and he has so many ways of remembering/recalling info its untrue.
Hes in Bounemouth somewere. I am sure someone will have a contact address. If you read this, John I owe you a beer and a thousand fags. Cheers D.J. p.s U.K. not Us fags! |
I can also very very highly recommend the Oxford Met brush up day with Steve Francis, truly inspirational!!!!
He got me through the quagmire of Met and a friend of mine who was also really struggling (distance learning) got 97% in the last sitting! The best £100 you will spend as a ATPL stude! Cheers TBL |
Met
Also if your getting bugged about Christmas presents and you can get 50 quid together, the new Aviation Meterology CBT from Oxford Aviation Training is well worth the dosh. Cover PPL, CPL and meets JAA ATPL Theoretical knowledge objectives.
Ive got thru stuff with this PC based training that I couldnt get my head round staring into the books. Again, it aint cheap, but the way it is laid out and presented is methodical, enjoyable and really makes things a whole lot more obvious. Loads on the CD, link below for more info. www.oxfordaviation.net/shop Regards all, Speedy  :D  |
Before anyone flames me for bigging up OATs I've got nothing to do with them, however, the CBT metioned by speedbird252 was written by Steve Francis in conjunction with the Met Office, and as said well worth your hard earned.
Cheers TBL:cool: |
TBL,
I take that when I ask "what`s the weather like?" from now on I can trust your answer!!!:D :D Well done I`ll see you when you get back from the sunshine. DWW |
Flunked met the first time round and was truly the class meteorological village idiot...
Only exam dropped in the Navs so under a bit of pressure.. John Standen AKA the "smoking sheep worrier" got me through and managed an 88% pass from a 58% fail second time round. I still crack up when I imagine those ADLR's carved in stone on that picture. Those who attended PPSC in and around 1999 know the ones :D |
Thanks guys for your kind words about my MET instruction and about the CD ROM. Hope it all helps.
To all past and future students, good luck. Steve Francis |
