FAA-JAA Conversion
 
I am a EU Citizen living in the US right now. I have a permanent residency case still pending, but given the industry state in the US and all the paperwork nowadays to get a jot, I have decided to pursue the convresion route.
I have FAA ATP, 2300TOTAL 360MULTI.
What would be the process (most cost beneficial, of course) to follow, and who do i contact.

As usual with anything in the Europe, its gonna cost you a small fortune to convert, my advice, stay in the States and things'll pick up!
If you're still thinking about converting, contact the CAA FCL dept at Gatwick and some of the schools that offer the JAA ATPL both in Europe and the States. They'll tell you what you need.

If you have case pending with the INS stay there and do that.
I was made to come back by the INS after 7 years living and working in the US. The job market with the US majors is not great right now. Even with with your 2300TT and 300+ ME the majors would have been a push for you prior to 9/11. You will, however still have no problem getting hired by the regionals. They are going crazy at the moment.
I know personally 4 people who get hired by SkyWest in the last month. Three of those have a lot fewer hours than you. Plus others with other regionals.

But hey, that is just my opinion.

I don't know, if you are aware of this, but the Dept of Justice has prohibited non US citizens from flying a/c heavier than 12500, unless they go thru a background check. Unfortunately they don't have a background check procedure set yet, so the airlines don't even bother with us.
