More to the point, it's now around eighteen months since the all those original posts were made.

Who's where they thought they would be now and who isn't?

That's scary. Very scary.

Nearer than I may have been but not as near as I would've hoped. However if it hadn't been for this year I would have been a lot further away than I am :D

Anyhow, 18 months on I've passed all my ATPL's and am half way through my CPL. Not as much progress as I would have hoped for but picking up steam now.

It is 18 months ago since this thread was started. Frightening! I remember talking to Melissab at work about it before Buzz was sold to Ryanair.

Well 100% first timers with the ATPL's, finished in Feb 2004.
CPL skill test passed about three weeks ago.
Currently doing my IR.

Very very skint having used up my savings. Thank good for parents who have been willing to lend me the last few grand to finish it all off. I hope this is all going to be worth - seeds of doubt have crept in at times.

Encouragingly I know of at least one person who posted 18 months ago who is know in RHS 737. It can be done.

Where will I be in 18 months time? Realistically probably instructing trying to scrape a living with another non aviation job. The dream? RHS 737 for a low cost operation.

Came 5th of 18 in a spot landing competition tonight. About 10ft seperated 1st and 5th - so maybe there is hope for me yet!

in 18 months? Test pilot for the F22 or SR71 Blackbird but, realistically, getting paid to fly twins
