Changes in the Exam format
 

The JAA have modified their guidance material to specify a fixed number of questions in each of the ATPL exams rather than just a minimum. The CAA will start to conform from November. The net result seems likely to be a reduction in time pressure in some papers, particularly General Nav (54 questions), Mass & Balance (22 questions), Flight Planning (56 questions) and Instruments (56 questions).

Before you get to excited guys,

remember the smaller number of questions the more important each answer is.

I prefered the 100 question paper you can f$£k up 25 and still pass!

So airlines still think more of integrated students...

So why is it that this post came from BGS?

So if any airline recruiters are looking at this site, consider this post and then reconsider your recruitment policies.

Possibly imflammatory I know, but who is sitting back when the entire industry is in such a state?

Surely not those people at Oxford or BAE. Sorry I forgot the weather in Spain is so good they are still probably sitting by the pool.

As a very satisfied customer of Bristol, I've spoken up for them numerous times on this site. And I agree with the sentiment of your post. But I think it's important to realise that Bristol are not the only school out there who are on the ball. I know there are at least two other schools with staff who regularly post on this forum - and there are probably more than two - and I'm sure that they would have posted this information too if Alex hadn't beaten them to it.

So please, all the schools, keep up the good work. And if there are any recruiters out there who favour integrated students, please note the vicar's comments.

Nice to have someone "on the ball". This is one of the reasons why I chose BGS Ground school over others.
