Students - Jobs =? If ? > 100 = Help!!

I’m about to start ATPL ground school and it seems like an obvious question but how many people qualify each year (frozen ATPL) and how many jobs are out there?
I’m just trying to get some idea of the reality of spending all this money!
What is the fall out rate? Do people just keep going with no job and a big overdraft?
Am I mad doing this?

For the numbers on licence issues, you should go look at the CAA licencing department's site. There is also some other useful info there for all wannabes. As for number of jobs, well, how long is a piece of string?!
