Hi,
A relatively good book for application forms and indeed advice for becoming an airline pilot in general is "Becoming an Airline Pilot" by Jeff Griffin.

The book has an american bias but the information within applies to any country really, advice on interviews, CV's etc
It is available from Transair Pilot Shop.

Airline pilot interviews - irv jasinski. Again from transair.

Very American, but if you treat some of it with a pinch of salt, then some very good stuff in there.

Gives a real insight into the qualities that they're looking for, and should help both your queries. Recommended by me anyway.

There is a section on the Oxford website that covers all the sponsorship selection stuff. It gives you some idea of what to expect and how to organise yourself for the interviews. Helped me ;)

cheers
