PPL or CPL ?

Just a quick Q:

What would be more worthwhile and cost-effective?
PPL then build TT to 150 and begin CPL or Just go for CPL (take longer to save up).

Cheers

Trislander,

I take it you mean whether you should get your frozen ATPL via the modular route (PPL first) or go the integrated route (straight to CPL/IR)?

With Multiflight offering the modular route at £30,000 compared intergrated courses at Cabair, Oxford etc. of around £50,000, the amount that you think you can raise will be a big part of the decision.

There was a thread around here recently that answered that question. I think the concensus was "Do a PPL first". You'll have to do it anyway, so better to do it at £90 per hour than £150 per hour. You'll also find out then whether you're a natural or an uncoordinated pie-eater like me. :)

Cheers guys,
I assume if I do the PPL then I will have got some of the future modular stuff out of the way. Will thatg mean that if I did modular at multiflight it will be a bit cheaper?

Thanks for your help.
