Aptitude

Hi all,

I'm sure everyone has the same kind of starting issues, but can't find an answer. I've recently applied for the Jet2 Flight Path Program, and unfortunately failed at the Arctic Shores bit, with the below feedback.

I like to think I'm quite a bright lad, pick up new concepts quite quickly (appreciate ATPLs are still going to be very challenging), but I just wondered with scores looking like this, will I struggle to get an airline career?

Being completely honest, this doesn’t look too bad and is similar to my own score.

I would have a good read of the detailed response to the “how you respond to change” as i would suspect this may be the area you have fallen short on. How did you find the tickets game? This is looking at this area and seeing how well you can adapt to changing rules

I'll be completely honest, I'm not sure I remember the tickets game... Oh dear. There was the arrows, cogs and lightbulbs, faces, predicitions, and numbers and shapes. Oh heck....

Maybe that's the issue though :/ You're likely to thrive in environments where tasks or projects come with clear expectations and well-defined parameters from the outset. While you can handle some unexpected changes, a structured framework may help you direct your efforts and work more effectively.

You're likely to work well in steady and stable work environments, where there is occasional change. You can immerse yourself in mastering a specific task but can switch to different tasks if required.

You may analyse new, emerging information about tasks or situations effectively, but having some extra time to adapt your approach or strategy could prove beneficial.

Tickets was the numbers and shapes one. I feel I did better on this than the arrows game, got caught out a few times.

I wouldn't be too disheartened, if you really want it, keep driving towards it. Neuroplasticity means we can adapt to new challenges if we keep plugging away at them.
