CRP5 User guide

Probably a stupid question but can you take the user guide that comes with the CRP5 into the ATPL theory exams? or just the device itself?

Thanks

Maybe a stupid question, though not as good as "What colour is the green navigation light"?!! (no they didn't pass). Covers, cases, notes etc. have to be left outside the exam room, I believe it states this on your email confirmation.

Anyway by the time you take your exams you need to be an EXPERT on how to use it front/back, upside down & inside out otherwise you are unlike to pass GN. Even if allowed you won't have time to read any instructions.

I was going to say this - you will need to be absolutely instinctive with the CRP5, those questions are easy marks but you have to practice practice practice. I am more than aware that you won’t be using one in an airliner but a) you MAY have a fancy pilot watch one day and at least this way you’ll be able to use the bezel for calculations in the pub and b) using the CRP5 builds a decent rule of thumb in your head for drift calculations.
