Aspiring pilot from Haiti- seeking guidance

Hello everyone! My name is Figaro Kymberly, and I’m from Haiti. Since I was a child, I’ve always dreamed of becoming a pilot. I’m currently learning English and starting to study aviation basics with the help of a mentor. Due to my financial situation and background, it has been challenging to start formal flight training, but I am determined to pursue my dream. I would be very grateful for any advice on how to move forward—especially tips on affordable training, scholarships, and beginner resources. Thank you so much in advance!

I'd start by getting into the US, legally.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate you taking the time to reply.
Just to clarify, I am currently in the U.S. legally, and I am actively working to maintain lawful status while planning my future training carefully. I understand that immigration, right-to-train, and right-to-work issues are critical in aviation, and I am taking those seriously as I plan my next steps.
My long-term goal is to qualify as a professional pilot, with the intention of eventually supporting medical and humanitarian aviation work. At this stage, however, I am focused on understanding realistic pathways, proper preparation, and lawful options for training.
Any insight from those with experience in this field is appreciated.

Not the answer you’re after but this forum is generally UK/EU/Asia Pacific and a smattering of the Middle East. There’s going to be many US focussed forums that have many hundreds of times more useful info than on here, as evidenced by the sum total of useful replies you’ve had so far :{
