Are all integrated options that bad?
Hi just looking to get into aviation and it almost seems like the consensus is most intergrated places are one elaborate scam and very few ppl get a job. Of course some places will have good reputations but just out of curiosity what are those good ones because depending on who u ask it varies. Also I really don’t mean to vent but just to say it as I’m relatively new to aviation is some people just blatantly lie about certain places it’s really bad on sites like Reddit. One of the better places seems to be FTE I thought Egnatia aviation looked alright but to be fair upon looking on here current students absolutely flamed it unless you are part of a cadet program and the emirates training it is extremely over the top and probably way to expensive nobody is arguing about that but in all fairness I spoke to an aussi guy who actually went their and all international student who have graduated so far have got a job with emirates straight after training however their is soon to be a new group soon so maybe that won’t stay the same and you will see ppl online say “you will never get a job after going there” like matey how do u know. Sorry for diviating from the main point do you know any good places to do flight training that gives good/decent chance of getting a job afterwards with an EASA licence that’s not ridiculously priced any advice would be greatly appreciated

It's a crap shoot. Always has been, always will be. Far less risky by modular, plus you can continue working if you wish. Yes, I am biased.

Yeah as far as I can see the most ideal scenario is joining a cadet program that gives the best chance of getting a job. After reading my post back it sounds a bit angrier then I mean it I just read something on redit( worst website of all time) it was just these guys being so mean to a 13 year old trying to understand how to be a pilot and these fully grown adults were being incredibly mean saying stuff like your stupid and just being horrible. Tbh with you whatever the best deal is wether it’s moduler or integrated I’m not trying to be biased one way or another

haha…. I can understand. Btw what programme did u end up with. Mod, inte or cadet. And uf i nay ask which academy and cadet programme. |
The most secure option is always going to be some kind of scheme which guarantees a job at the end of it should you meet the airlines criteria. However this isn't always possible depending on whether the cadet fits the bill for the airline at the point of application. For many this isn't the case, and for many it's simply because the schemes offered by the airlines are massively over-subscribed so self-funding is the only viable option. Of course it comes with risk, but generally the integrated schools deliver on what they say they'll do, and that is to leave as a qualified airline pilot.
Don't expect to walk in to a job though, after graduating it's very much up to the individual to make it happen. |
