SOLI transfer out of LBA

Hello!

Has anyone successfully transferred their License from the LBA to a different authority? Alternatively is anyone also waiting for this process to go through?

Most CAAs seem to take around 3 months to complete this process... but I've been waiting for close to 9 months now, and the LBA is still refusing to send the required documents to my desired SOLI CAA. The LBA also refuses to give me a deadline or any expectation of when this process will finish. My license is relatively new, and my medicals are all from 2020+.

I am quite lost on what to do and any advice, or stories of how this process went for other people would be very welcome.

Cheers!

What's the LBA if you don't mind me asking a silly question?

LBA is the National Aviation Authority from Germany.

My Medical examiner told me if I have my license in Germany, forget about transferring it out due to (drumrooooll): "DATENSCHUTZ" - Data Privacy Protection.

Should be more like DatenShOOTZ, because you shoot yourself in the foot trying to do anything with your own information in Germany.

Maybe someone who has had luck with the matter can elaborate, but that's the information I got.

"Luftfahrt Bundesamt"

I have also requested my license transfer from LBA to IAA. Been waiting for 4 months and no news.
I wrote LBA and they replied that if I ask for updates I’m risking delaying my transfer. 🤷🏻‍♂️
