Performance exam

Can anyone tell me the score with performance exams? I believe the Perf A is dead and it is now one JAA exam covering all performance classes. Is this correct?

There is now a non specific performance exam as part of the JAR ATPL`s.Then I think the idea is when you get a job and complete a type rating, that will include a performance exam specific to that type.Sounds like a bit of common sense for once.....or have I been studying too long today????

I belive both of your post are correct. I sat the last ever CAA perf A, and it was HARD. I think perf is the one JAA exam that is easier than the old CAA system. I highly recommend Alex Whittingham at Bristol Ground School for exam preparation. Best of Luck. MDS

Thanks MDS. Does Alex at Bristol now offer Performance notes? When I was doing my Navs, he said to try to borrow some off someone else if one was attending one of his performance weekends
