At last the JAR ATPL

G'day,
For those that aren't on my email/phone list. I did my ATPL skills test/multi pilot IR today.
That makes 2 ATPLs now.
It is possible. Just keep going forward.
Cheers.

PS Thats what happends when you post at 0225hrs ......mind goes blank.....or could it be that just thinking about it has an effect on hand + eye coordination ?????

It meant 'did you wear that tartan skirt' :D :D :D

redsnail 12th July 2002 09:17

Redsnail. Congratulations on a job well done!!!

Grivation 12th July 2002 10:03

Reddo, if you (now) had the choice of doing the type rating route or doing the 15 hours IF route, which one would you take? and why?

Snigs 12th July 2002 22:17

Congrats Reddo.

I know you've had fun on the way, but two ATPL's, you gotta be loopy (are you still missing Junior??)

Good on ya! :D

redsnail 12th July 2002 23:44

Yep, I am nuts!
Yep, I miss Junior heaps.
Grivation,
When I sober up I'll post a more serious reply. Look at costs and whether or not the TRTO understands the differences involved in converting a foreign ATPL to a JAR one. There are differences.
Doing it this way (ie type rating) = JAR ATPL, multi pilot IR and a type on the lic.
Going the IR way = ??? CPL with single pilot IR and possibly money in the bank. Not sure on the result there ok?

Super effort, well done reds. You've walked a bloody long hard road to get one of those things :)

AMEX 13th July 2002 20:32

Good Stuffs Reddo

but wasn't it a Tartan skirt rather ???

luvly jubbly 14th July 2002 06:34

Good on ya Reddo!

I've been hiding from these forums for the past couple of years so I had no idea you've come over to these shores!
Just to remind you, this is summer up here just in case you think we get warm winters!

Good luck with the career

Well done - good on you!

Now start saving for Junior II - there must be some good pre-owned Dukes around waiting to meet you!
